The Nutcracker

 Our annual full-length production of this traditional ballet is presented at the Arend Arts Center with guest artists from NWA Ballet Theatre and The BHS Chamber Orchestra. 

2017 Nutcracker Auditions
Open Auditions for the 2017 production for ages 6 and up will be held Saturday, September 16th at the Conservatory. 

Audition fee is $10 payable to NWACCB. 

Performance fee of $100* for the first role cast will be assessed at the audition. For each additional role cast, a $25 performance fee will be collected once rehearsals begin. 
*In the event that a dancer is not cast or declines role/s, performance fee will be returned/destroyed.

Adult professionals and adult dancers cast in character roles will be exempt from the performance fee. Adult dancers interested in participating are not required to attend the youth auditions. Please contact Jennifer Davis at for more information.

AUDITION SCHEDULE- Auditioning dancers MUST come to registration prior to their audition time.
9:15 am Registration Ages 6-8
10:00-11:00am Audition Ages 6-8 (No dance experience needed.)
11:15am Registration Ages 9-11
12:00-1:00pm Audition Ages 9-11 (Must have 1 year of dance/gym experience.)
1:15pm Registration Ages 12-14
2:00-3:00pm Audition Ages 12-14 (Must have 2 years of dance experience.)
3:15pm Registration Ages 15 and up
4:00-5:00pm Audition Ages 15 and up  (Must have 3 years of dance experience.)

Ladies: Please wear dance attire, with hair pulled away from face, and bring ballet shoes. Ages 12 and older who are en pointe should wear pointe shoes for the audition.
Gentlemen: Please wear a t-shirt and gym shorts or pants with socks or ballet shoes.

Spring Fanfare

 Our end of year performance, the Spring Fanfare, will be presented in May. This year, the lower school and the upper school will perform in two separate shows. The Spring Fanfare is an excellent opportunity for our students to showcase the skills on which they've worked so diligently all year long. The Fanfare also features performances by the Conservatory Trainees, senior performances and recognition, and RAD Exam recognition.

*Lower school is made up of students in Wee Dance with Mom through RAD Grade 3.
**Upper school is made up of students in RAD Grade 4 and above, Modern/Contemporary, all Pointe, Choreography, Adults and Trainees.
