Originally from Upstate New York, Sarah began her dance training at the Studio for the Performing Arts under Tracy Kirin-Pezzimenti. In high school, she began choreographing and teaching ballet, tap, and jazz at the Studio, while studying under Sean McLeod at the New York Institute of Dance & Education. After graduation, she was offered a position with the Kaleidoscope Dance Theatre in New York City. Sarah went on to graduate from Hope College with a degree in Musical Theatre. In addition to performing in multiple productions at Hope, she choreographed the musicals Really Rosie and Snoopy. She began her professional career immediately upon graduation at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre and after her first national tour moved to New York City. Sarah worked as professional singer/dancer/actress for the next 10 years in New York City. Her professional credits run the gamut from Off-Broadway to Regional Theatre and National Tours. She earned her Equity card while performing in Very Good Eddie at Goodspeed Opera House. Some of her favorite roles include Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Anna in The King and I, Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, and Joy Lewis in A Woman’s Place. While in New York, Sarah furthered her studies in Musical Theatre, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Modern. She had the privilege of studying and working under Andy Blankenbuehler, Randy Skinner, Germaine Salsberg, Justin Boccitto, Dan Siretta, Avi Miller and Ofer Ben, among others. Her choreographic work has been seen Off-Broadway and regionally. Since moving to Northwest Arkansas, Sarah has continued to perform locally as well as produce several musicals through Inspire Theatre, the professional company she founded. A homeschooling mom, she has taught Tap and Theatre at several homeschool collectives and also works as a private voice and acting coach. Sarah and her husband, Geoff, have three children: Luke, Lucy, and Lena.
