Mariah Bordovsky is Co-Owner and RAD Program Director at the Conservatory. She is a native of Northwest Arkansas and began her classical ballet training at the age of seven under the instruction of Ms. Peggie Wallis, who was a Registered Teacher of London's Royal Academy of Dance for almost 70 years. She has been honored by receiving Gold and Gold with Distinction medals in her many years of participating in New York's American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards adjudicated by Ms. Mignon Furman. Mariah has achieved all five Royal Academy of Dance International Vocational examinations with High Merits and Distinctions. She has attended four workshops under the instruction of Philip Pegler, Master Teacher, Royal Academy of Dance Examiner and former faculty member of the Elmhurst School of Dance, the official school of the Birmingham Royal Ballet in England. Mariah has also participated in numerous intensives and workshops around the country. In 2011, she studied at the International Ballet Teacher Seminar with Lynn Wallis, the previous Artistic Director of the Royal Academy of Dance. Mariah danced as a company member of NWA Ballet Theatre for a decade and has performed numerous productions across the region including the Walton Arts Center. During her time with NWA Ballet Theatre she performed as Snow Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Dew Drop Fairy in the Nutcracker, Midsummer Night’s Dream,Cinderella, and works by Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye including Oh Sweet Time, Petit Seat, and Immortal Beloved. Mariah also served as Ballet. In 2014 Mariah earned her “Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies” through the Royal Academy of Dance and obtained her Registered Teacher Status. In 2016 she achieved certification in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT.) As Co-Owner and RAD Director of the NWA Conservatory of Classical Ballet, she oversees all of the RAD curriculum and syllabus work at the Conservatory.
