SCHOOL POLICIES
In order to protect our Harlequin Flooring
•
DO NOT USE DRYER SHEETS OR FABRIC SOFTENER WITH ANY CLOTHING WORN IN STUDIO A OR B.
These products cause the floor to become slippery and could be a hazard to the students and teachers.
• DO NOT WALK ACROSS STUDIO FLOORS IF YOU ARE WEARING STREET SHOES.
Dirt particles will cause damage. Ballet shoes should not be worn outside of class unless practicing in a clean
environment or performance.
• WE ARE A LOTION FREE ENVIRONMENT.
Please do not apply lotion within 2 hours of stepping into our studios. The lotion can transfer to the vinyl
flooring and cause slick spots.
Assigned Class Dress Code
Dress code is in place so that instructors may easily see the lines of the body and uniformity across the class. Wear appropriate color and shoes to class. Hair must be neatly out of the face and off of the neck. Hair that has the length and texture that is conducive for a classical ballet bun must be worn in this fashion. Others (short hair, textured, etc.) may use braids or clips to hold hair out of face or in alternate bun. We realize students may come straight from school, but it is good training for a dancer to learn how to prioritize a respectful appearance for class.
